Shumirai Zizhou is the Programmes and Research Associate that provides Research, Technical and Advocacy assistance to deliver policy research deliverables. She also provides programme and administrative support, ensuring that the Trust remains in compliance with the requisite internal and external procedural and procurement policies. Shumirai holds an LLB Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand as well as a Post Graduate Qualification in Practical Legal Studies from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Shamiso is the Programme Coordinator focusing on Economic Development Policy Programmes. With extensive regional experience on development issues. She also coordinates policy researching and leads in analyzing emerging policy matters. She has a Masters in International Development from the University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Social Sciences, Politics and English, University of Cape Town.
Serge is a consultant supporting the Programmes team in project implementation. He has strong accounting background and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders, working diligently to ensure best practice is understood and followed on all programme endeavors. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Financial Information System from the Vaal University of Technology.
Leonard is our Financial Inclusion and Investment Associate. He has several years of experience in the area of financial inclusion and investment strategy. He has a Masters in Economics with a Specialization in Corporate Finance and Investments from University of Namibia and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from University of Zimbabwe.
Watipaso brings more than 20 years of international experience providing policy and technical advice in inclusive growth and development to various actors, tailored to the specific country context aimed at increasing the incomes of smallholder farmers, small and medium enterprises, women, and youth. In the last 10 years, his focus has been developing and implementing programmes on agricultural transformation, agribusiness development and private sector development.
Muleya is the Deputy Regional Director for Amnesty International, Southern Africa Regional Office in charge of Research. Her work has been focused on human rights advocacy in East and Southern Africa. Prior to joining Amnesty, she was the Campaigns and Policy Manager in charge of Gender, for Oxfam’s Rights in Crisis Programme interfacing with the Peace and Security Council of the African Union in Addis Ababa. She worked as a campaign manager for the Global Campaign for education, in particular advocating for girls education.
Calvin is an experienced finance practitioner who is responsible for ensuring the organisation’s sound financial standing. He works with the executive management and operations team in preparing budgets, statements and reports that enable decision making and strengthen the grant-making mandate. He holds BCom in Accounting and Auditing from North West University.
Antonio is the Coordinator of the AfDB Nacala Corridor Linkages Technical Assistance Project. Prior to this, he has been the Board Director (Non-Executive) at Autogas SA, Co-founder aimed to the business start-up and development. He also has been the Board Director (Non-Executive) at Sanlam Vida Mozambique SA, an insurance company subsidiary of Sanlam Group Ltd., from South African.
Lizette provides support to our CEO and executive management team in furthering the vision of the organisation. With tenacity, attention to detail and meticulous organising skills, she manages relationships and juggles the work of the organization. Lizette is instrumental in enabling good governance and stakeholder relations for the Trust.
Sazini is the MD of Corporate Citizenship at Barclays Africa Group and Absa Group. A Harvard Business School graduate, her expertise lies in the development and execution of strategic plans linked to tackling social challenges in education, skills development and business development, focused on small enterprise development. She holds a double major degree in Sociology and Industrial Psychology, and a Master’s in Development Studies. Sazini has over 16 years’ experience working in government and civil society, including the corporate and private sector.
