Our Team

Masego Madzwamuse

Masego facilitates the vision of the Southern Africa Trust – bringing the voices of the citizens and people on the margins of political systems and the economy, to those making the decisions. The Trust has the capacity to work at grassroots level, all the way up to the heads of state – transforming citizens into active participants of their future development.

Calvin Mogorosi

Calvin is an experienced practitioner who is responsible for ensuring the organisation’s sound financial standing. He works with the executive management and operations team in preparing budgets, statements and reports that enable decision making and strengthen the grant-making mandate.

Martha Hlongwane

Through her warm smile, open heart and delicious cups of coffee, Mam Martha is one of the biggest cheerleaders in our office. She maintains and oversees the workspace; playing her part in making sure our organisation keeps up its high standards both publicly and within our four walls.

Raymond Muchemwa

Raymond ensures that the Trust is fiscally sustainable, accounting for grants and is responsible for the management of funds that come in from donors. He prepares reports for donors, as well as project managers and grant recipients. Raymond works closely with managers on the programme development, to determine realistic budgets.

Lizette Phillips

Lizette provides support to our CEO and executive management team in furthering the vision of the organisation. With tenacity, attention to detail and meticulous organising skills, she manages relationships and juggles the work of the organization. Lizette is instrumental in enabling good governance and stakeholder relations for the Trust.

Christabel Phiri

Christabel oversees the Trusts Programmes Unit and is instrumental in bringing the poor, the government and the private sector together, to find solutions. She has worked across the fields of agriculture, trade and migration, she monitors how these programmes affect the lives of the poor in an effort to impact development for their benefit.

Boitshepo Kubu

Tshepo is responsible for the procurement of services and goods that are needed to keep the operation running smoothly. He deals with suppliers to ensure the working environment is pleasant and functional for employees and visitors. Tshepo also has experience in all aspects of office management.
