Lingalireni is a highly-motivated development practitioner with over 15 years of experience in development with a focus in governance, gender equality and women’s rights, sexual and reproductive health, humanitarian work and livelihoods security and youth development. She is currently serving as a Director for Lilongwe Water Board – a parastatal organization, She is Trustee for the National Initiative for Civic Education ( NICE), serves on the Board of the Civil Society Organizations Nutrition Alliance (CSONA), and Board of Malawi Scotland Partnership (MaSP).

Currently Research Fellow at University of Johannesburg and former Group Chief Strategy Officer at the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa, Dr. Sipho Sithole’s experience cuts across from being a gardener from the age of 12 to occupying executive positions in aviation and airport operations, telecommunications, broadcasting, sports administration, arts, culture and entertainment, transport and to Board directorships position in aviation, financial services, entertainment companies, film distribution/exhibition, as well as music and culture. He is an ardent speaker at international conferences on music and culture as well as management and leadership. A researcher and academic immersing himself in humanities and social sciences research. A corporate strategy and creative economy strategy consultant for both the public and private sectors, including non-profit organization.

Dr. Sithole has been involved in civil society initiatives and projects, ranging from working with UN-Habitat on creating awareness of the MDGs in 2004-2005, also chairing an international board of Music Mayday International (Netherlands) aimed at arming young people in Africa with the necessary skills and capabilities, particularly in the creative sector. Dr Sithole has represented the country in the arts and culture sector, at the International Cultural Summit in Edinburgh, as well as in France, and requested to operationalize the cooperation agreement between South Africa and France on music and film.

His work on civil society capacity-building initiatives has seen him being appointed to the boards of the National Arts Council of South Africa, the South African Cultural Observatory, the Joburg City Theatres, as well as the Southern African Music Rights Organisation. His involvement in the funding space has created a lot of job opportunities and the upskilling of the marginalised communities across all the cultural domains.

Thokozile is a Leadership Development, Learning and Education Strategic Advisor and Consultant. She is also a High-Performance Facilitator and Coach and Speaker on topics including Developing Women Leaders, Future-Fit Learning, Self-Leadership and Effective Parenting in a 4IR World. In her independent advisory, consulting, facilitating and coaching work; and prior roles at McKinsey & Company, Novartis, Discovery Ltd and the Absa banking Group, Thokozile’s focus over the last 16years has been on delivering transformational shifts in human capital strategies, mindsets, behaviors, and practices that deliver improved performance and positive culture change.

As a corporate executive, Thokozile was Group Head of Leadership, Learning and Talent at Absa Bank Ltd; Group Head of Talent, Leadership and Organizational Development at Discovery Ltd; and Head of Talent Management and Organizational Development Africa Cluster at Novartis Ltd. At McKinsey & Company, Thokozile was an Expert Consultant focused on Organisational Practice work including business performance and culture transformations, organisational health, top team effectiveness facilitation and coaching, and large-scale skills building. Thokozile is an invited member of the University of Pretoria’s Centre of the Future of Work Advisory Board and has also previously served on the global Udemy Business Executive Advisory Council.

He is committed to enabling the Trust to be able to use leading technologies and good corporate governance to augment and enable its mandate.

Biography

Sazini is the Managing Director of Corporate Citizenship at Barclays Africa Group and Absa Group. A Harvard Business School graduate, her expertise lies in the development and execution of strategic plans linked to tackling social challenges in education, skills development and business development, focused on small enterprise development. She holds a double major degree in Sociology and Industrial Psychology, and a Master’s in Development Studies. Sazini has over 16 years’ experience working in government and civil society, including the corporate and private sector.

Biography

Muleya is the Deputy Regional Director for Amnesty International, Southern Africa Regional Office in charge of Research. Her work has been focused on human rights advocacy in East and Southern Africa. Prior to joining Amnesty, she was the Campaigns and Policy Manager in charge of Gender, for Oxfam’s Rights in Crisis Programme interfacing with the Peace and Security Council of the African Union in Addis Ababa. She worked as a campaign manager for the Global Campaign for education, in particular advocating for girls’ education.
